Take your skills to the next level

beyond the white water

You’ve already been surfing – and now you’re ready for your next level. This week is for women who already have experience in the water, have mastered the basics, and are now ready to progress. The beginner phase is behind you – now it’s about building confidence, refining your technique, and catching your first green waves on your own.

This week is for anyone ready to take the step from the whitewater into the line-up and truly ride their first green waves. If you want to finally experience the feeling of being carried by a green wave, then you’re in the right place. In a supportive group, we guide you through this next, important part of your surf journey and help you enter the green waves with confidence, calmness, and joy.

You can look forward to coaching that meets you exactly where you are, a supportive team by your side, and good vibes – in the water and on land.

Surrounded by world-class waves

Luckily, we’re in a place surrounded by the best waves Morocco has to offer, with consistent swell year-round. Trust us, we’ve never been disappointed – there are always waves to find! We’d like to introduce you to a few of them. Which one would you love to surf?

IMI QUADDAR + AHOUD BEACH: Located right in front of our camp, ideal for all levels. Gentle beach breaks for beginners, but also playful waves for more advanced surfers. Perfect for practicing technique and building confidence in the water.

DESERT POINT: A long right-hand wave with a stunning backdrop. Perfect for stepping up to slightly more challenging waves.

MYSTERIES: DESERT POINT: A long right-hand wave with a stunning backdrop. Perfect for stepping up to slightly more challenging waves.

LA SOURCE:  Slightly steeper waves, great for intermediate surfers! The waves are powerful but manageable — perfect for building confidence for faster surfing.

TAMRI:  Gentle, long beach breaks that are ideal for beginners. Here you can practice in a relaxed way, fall, reset, and get back up until surfing really becomes fun. The spot is very exposed and almost always picks up some swell.

ANZA: A beach break with multiple peaks, suitable for all skill levels. Very consistent and works best with a small swell.

BANANA BEACH: in Aourir, this beach is ideal for improving your beach break surfing. The many different peaks offer a wide variety of waves to choose from.

BANANA POINT: This right-hand wave is located at Banana Beach. It’s easy to surf and ideal for practicing your maneuvers.

A week full of fantastic waves and big progress, but above all, a week full of incredible women. The vibe in the lineup was beautiful: we cheered each other on, encouraged one another, supported each other, cleared doubts, pushed one another forward, and celebrated together. I laughed so much and felt deeply that I was exactly where I was meant to be. Thank you!

accommodation

Feel at home.

Our accommodation offers cozy small apartments, perfect for a relaxing stay. Each apartment features one or two rooms, a bathroom, a kitchen, and a living area, so you can truly feel at home. It’s the ideal place to unwind after a long day at the beach. Additionally, our spacious rooftop terrace invites you to relax – here you can wind down and enjoy the beautiful view. For shared meals, there's a covered dining area where you can relax in good company.

The house where we stay is a thoughtfully designed space that accommodates different groups. This means we share the house with other retreats or travelers, which sometimes leads to inspiring encounters – and at other times simply means we don’t have the rooftop all to ourselves. But here’s the thing: everything is optional, nothing is mandatory. For those seeking peace and solitude, there is plenty of space for that. We have our own areas, our own meal times, and designated seating.

our team

In Morocco, the WaveSisters team is on site to organize the surf lessons, the supporting program, yoga sessions, and to be your main point of contact throughout the week. The rest of the team consists of our local Moroccan hosts — in the kitchen, at the beach, in housekeeping, or in management. They are an essential part of the camp, bringing warmth, calmness, and joy for life, creating the special, welcoming atmosphere that makes this place so unique.

MEREL - surfteacher

She combines her background in sports science with a calm and grounded approach to teaching. Her surf lessons are designed to create a supportive space where you can learn at your own pace. Offering practical tips and guidance, she encourages you to experiment and find your own flow in the water. With her steady presence, Merel ensures you feel confident and empowered as you connect with the waves and your surfing journey.

MOHAMED - surfguide

Mohamed grew up right by the sea, with a view of his home spot, Boilers. As one of the true local Boiler Boys, he knows every corner of this coast — from the rocks to the currents. Even as a child, he came into contact with surfers spending the winter here in their campervans. That’s where his love for the ocean, the waves, and the international surf community began. Anyone who meets Mohamed immediately feels his open, warm, and joyful nature. He brings an energy that’s contagious — positive, motivating, and always in a great mood. In the water, he knows exactly where to sit, where the currents will carry you, and the best ways in and out of the surf. Good vibes, motivation, ease, and a true local experience!

INSI - yogateacher

Our yoga instructor Insa is truly special – empathetic, relaxed, and with an incredibly calm presence that’s instantly contagious. Every winter, she returns to Morocco, where she incorporates the sun, sea, and tranquility of the country into her practice. With her, every yoga session becomes a little break, where we learn to listen to our bodies, breathe consciously, and reconnect with ourselves.

SUSI - manager

Susi is our WaveSisters manager and is usually in Portugal during the summer, but she’s now on site in Morocco for you. With her friendly and empathetic and calm nature, she brings many years of experience in surf camp life. Whether it’s the caring support of our guests, organizing the camp, or her own passion for surfing — Susi makes sure you feel completely at home.

AMINA - host

Amina is full of energy, funny, open, honest, and completely authentic. As a true organization queen, she ensures that everything in the house runs smoothly — from coordinating daily routines to taking care of the little details behind the scenes. As a Moroccan, she knows the country and its people inside out and brings her culture into our weeks in a warm and lively way. With Amina, there’s always room for good vibes and genuine, open conversations.

Adventure, Culture and Discovery

Anyone traveling to Morocco for the first time quickly notices: life here runs differently than in the western world. The pace is more relaxed, spontaneous, and often shaped by the moment. This very unpredictability is part of the country’s charm — and at the same time, it’s good to know that plans can change, and flexibility is part of everyday life here.

This cultural difference also shows up in surfing. Unfortunately, surfing for women is still not taken for granted in Morocco, and female surf coaches are rare. To provide safe, high-quality, and respectful coaching, we work with selected professional male instructors whose values align with ours. And to make sure the female presence isn’t missing, one of our female team members is always on site during the sessions — providing support, a welcoming atmosphere, and a safe learning environment.

Our camp is located in the small village of Imi Ouaddar — a place that has so far remained largely untouched by international tourism. Visitors here experience authentic Moroccan village life: a trip to the small local shop, the smell of freshly baked bread, curious children saying hello, and the warmth of our Moroccan hosts.

Those who open themselves up to Morocco will quickly realize: it’s not just a place you visit — it’s a place you feel. Everything you need to know about it is summarized in a detailed blog article, which you can find here.
